Within the first week of the game’s release in Japan, the Koei Tecmo and Omega Force developed Dragon Quest Heroes had sold 594,000 copies across the PS3 and PS4. It’s that positive reception that has given Square Enix the go-ahead to start development on a sequel.
The game, which mashes Omega Force’s Dynasty Warrior Hack’n’Slash with the art style and universe of Square Enix’s Dragon Quest series, has only been out in Japan for 5 weeks now and a North American and Europe debut is currently set for 2015 for the PS4 only. The sequel does have a way to go at this time and we won’t be expecting to hear much for a little while.
