I spend a fair amount of time playing Dragon Age Legends when it was released as a promotional tool for it’s bigger console and PC brother, Dragon Age 2, and I will admit that it was a pretty solid RPG for being a Facebook game.
Sadly, that changed as earlier this week the servers were shut down for the popular social rpg, but there is some good news to report to fans. Bioware’s social team is giving the game out for free to anyone who still wants to play the game, in order to play the game you will need Adobe Air (click here to download) and visit the Dragon Age Legends website (click here) to download the title. This will allow you to play the game offline regardless of EA servers status.
While there are some downsides, such as starting the campaign from scratch, Bioware is working on a way to get the characters and items from Dragon Age Legends players so they can use them in the offline mode. A great way to show some support for the community when most games that get it’s plug pulled usually just die.
