DOOM patch brings back classic gun placement, photo mode

doomclassicview

Today marks the first major post-launch update to Bethesda’s DOOM which is going to include a few interesting additions to the game including a throwback to the classic PC game, a new sharing feature which everyone is getting into, new Snapmap features and of course, fixes for several issues for the game.

The Throwback feature is the weapon placement option, which moves the view of the gun away from the modern shooter view, to a center view similar to the classic DOOM placement. Meanwhile, the game will also pick up a Photo Mode, a new feature to gaming which has recently popped up thanks to consoles new ability to take screenshots, which should be interesting to see what fans can com up with considering DOOM’s Gorey aesthetic.

The full list of features included in the update can be found below. The Patch is set to release sometime later today.
