With about two weeks left until we get our hands on Doom Eternal, Bethesda released a new trailer that showcases some of the behind-the-scenes action of how the game’s music was made. Specifically how they formed a metal choir to deliver a new unique sound to the sequel to the award-winning shooter.
Doom 2016 was highly praised for its heavy metal soundtrack which was developed by Mick Gordon. Gordon is expanding on that sound for the upcoming sequel along with lead audio design Chad Mossholder who put out an open-call for Metal artists to join in their “awesome ensemble of badasses.”
The trailer has several interview clips of some of the artists that joined in this awesome choir which included Linzey Rae of The Anchor, James Dorton of Black Crown Initiate, Wesley Merritt from The World I Knew, Natalie Kahan of Wildspeaker, and Tony Campos of Static X and Ministry.
The last 30 seconds of the video gives us a small clip of what awaits our ears when Doom Eternal launches on March 20th, and if it is any indication, Metal fans are going to be in for a treat.
