There is less than a week before we can get our hands on Persona 5 (which releases April 4th) and reviews have been really positive so far. However if you’re planning on streaming or taking screenshots using the PS4’s native Share Feature, you might want to invest in a capture card.
Atlus had confirmed to Polygon that the PS4 share functionalities will be locked for the entire game as the company made the decision to prohibit players from sharing content. “This being a Japanese title with solely a single-playthrough story means Japan is very wary about it,” an Atlus representative said. “Sharing is currently blocked through the native PS4 UI.”
While various games have blocked some scenes to avoid spoilers, it is rare that a game would block the entire share functionality for the game, with the only one coming to mind is Bandai Namco’s Tales of Zestiria.
