When it was released back in 2012, Wreck-It Ralph was a well received original movie from Disney which featured a ton of great cameos from popular video game characters. The movie had done so well that Disney has officially confirmed a sequel for the movie earlier this morning.
John C. Reilly, who voices Ralph; a video game villain who wished to become a hero, hinted at a sequel earlier in the year, however this is the first full confirmation from Disney’s production team. Disney has also confirmed that Rich Moore will return to direct the sequel, with co-director Phil Johnston who helped to write the original film.
The first piece of concept art was released today, which you can see above, which seems to hint at Ralph and Vanellope (played by Sarah Silverman) taking on the internet. Like the original, the film will be handled by the animation team behind other hit modern Disney movies such as Frozen, Big Hero Six, and Zootopia, and is currently set for a March 2018 release.
