Gameitall Back in the days of the NES and SNES, the partnership between Disney and Capcom allowed for several great games including Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, Magical Quest and more. Now Capcom is bringing back that nostaliga with the Disney Afternoon Collection on PS4, Xbox One and PC with 6 classic NES games.
For those too young to remember, Disney Afternoon was a block of TV shows starting primarily after school on most TV channels that would show kids cartoons. 4 of these shows went on to receive NES games including Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, Chip’n’Dale’s Rescue Rangers and Tailspin. The Disney Afternoon collection will feature the games from the mentioned titles as well as the sequels, Ducktales 2 and Chip’n’Dale’s Rescue Rangers 2.
It is important to note that these are not HD Remasters, but ports of the original NES titles with some new features including boss rush and time-attack modes, plus a rewind feature that allows players to start over just before a mistake was made rather than replay an entire level. A museum mode also will showcase concept art and making-of content.
The collection will be out on April 18th 2017, and is priced at $19.99 USD.
