When a game is being released and a crusical element is lacking, what does a company do, release a half finish product and release patches… That happens more times then we’d like to admit, but this is not the case with Blizzard, who announced today that they will remove PvP feature from one of the biggest title of the year, in order to not delay the entire product.
For those of you who know Blizzard’s MO. I’ll let you sit on that one for a while.
So why not do the Blizzard thing and push the game back until everything is ready? Well, according to battle.net blog “We ultimately felt that delaying the whole game purely for PvP would just be punishing to everyone who’s waiting to enjoy the campaign and core solo/co-op content, all of which is just about complete.”
Diablo III’s PvP functionality will be restored at an unspecified later date, with some extras for the wait such as multiple Arena maps, achievements, personal progression, and a matchmaking system.
