Back in February we were told that Blizzard’s hack and slash RPG, Diablo 3, will be coming to the PS3 and PS4 later this year. While Blizzard didn’t necessarily say it was a Sony Exclusive, we at least thought that it would be some time before we see it on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Sure enough Blizzard announced though Battle.net yesterday morning that the game will be released on the 360 along side the PS3 version on September 3rd.
The console version of the PC game is stated to have all of the “major content and design updates” made to the original PC game, which was released last summer, and include extra DLC items for those who pre-order the game.
When asked for a statement on if Diablo 3 will be coming to the Xbox One, a Blizzard spokes person stated: “We’re excited for console players to get their hands on Diablo 3, but we don’t have any further platform announcements to share at this time.” In other words, it’s really a 50-50 chance, but we’re likely to get more info at E3 next week.
