At Gamescom yesterday, Capcom showed off some new gameplay footage of Devil May Cry 5, giving us more information about Nero’s new “Devil Breakers” tools that will replace his “Devil Bringer” from Devil May Cry 4.
The Devil Breakers are new powerful arms developed by Nero’s friend Nico, which will give him special abilities. According to Capcom, there will be eight Devil Breakers in DMC5, including the Overture – an electrified arm that shocks demons, and the Gerbera – which generates a powerful shockwave. The arms also come with a new grappling hook and rocket powered limbs to help extend those combos as Nero strikes with his Red Queen Sword and Blue Rose revolver, which make their return from Devil May Cry 4.
While we’re mainly focused on Nero in the new Devil May Cry, Dante will still be involved in whatever shenanigans is going on. The Gamescom trailer also gave us a small look at Dante kicking ass with his new motocycle which comes with a cool transformation.
Despite being revealed at E3 this year, we won’t have to wait too long get our hands on that “Smokin’ Sexy Style” of combat, as Capcom confirmed that the game will be out on PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 8th 2019.
