Deep Silver’s first-person-open-world zombie slaying game, Dead Island 2, has been delayed to 2016. Deep Silver announced this on the franchise’s twitter account, saying simply that they haven’t reached the goal they were out to reach in the sequel yet.
“Right now we are focusing purely on development, and we will have more info to share at a later stage,” Deep Silver said today. “We know that our fans will be disappointed by this news, but by giving Dead Island 2 more time we are confident that everyone will get a better game to play as a result.”
Dead Island 2 is being developed by Yager Development, the team behind on of our favourite games Spec Ops: The Line, and is set to release on PC, Xbox One and PS4. Hopefully we’ll hear more about the title soon.
