Thanks to the community of horror sleuths, we believe that the upcoming next chapter in the Dead By Daylight is likely based on Hellraiser and will likely bring in Pinhead, the lead Cenobite of the series from Clive Barker, as the next killer.
Behaviour Interactive has been leaving some cryptic notes and videos, and the Dead by Daylight community was quick to solve them. The studio hid the letters R-A-I-S-E into a series of tweets and images over the past week and the letters H-E-L-L in an audio file recently posted to Discord. A video teaser released Friday also hints at Hellraiser by showing a VHS-style footage of flower blossoms that seem similar to a scene in the original 1987 Hellraiser Movie.
While the addition of a new Killer is always great news for the award-winning multiplayer horror game, sadly, Behaviour has also confirmed that some characters and content will be going away. Specifically, Netflix’s Stranger Things content.
The studio announced Monday that Nancy Wheeler, Steve Harrington, and the Demogorgon will no longer be available for purchase as of November 17th. Players who already own the characters will still be able to play as them after that date, but the Hawkins National Laboratory Underground Complex map will no longer be playable.
Players who want to get their hands on the content will be able to do so at a discounted price as the characters and the cosmetic DLC are currently on sale at 50% off.
Of course, there is still plenty of content to enjoy in the killer vs survivors game, recently we’ve seen licensed killers including Pyramid Head from the Silent Hill series and Nemesis from Resident Evil join the team, along with some originals including the K-Pop killer Ji-Woon Hak and the conjoined Twins Charlotte and Victor Deshayes.
