Daybreak Games has announced that they will be bringing DC Universe Online to the Nintendo Switch later this Summer, making the 8 year old MMORPG available on all modern consoles.
DC Universe online started back on PS3 and PC, and has at the foundations been about creating a superhero or villain to help or hinder some of the biggest names in the DC Universe. Over the years, the game got to explore some major storylines and got to explore a variety of familiar locations including Gotham City, Metropolis, Atlantis and more.
“As soon as the Nintendo Switch released, the development team couldn’t help but wonder, what if …?” creative director S.J. Mueller said in a statement. “Long story short, we are so excited for players to take their DC experience wherever they go.”
DC Universe Online is available as a free-to-play game with a variety of expansions, power sets, and other optional content and features sold at premium, while those who pay a monthly membership of $14.99 a month can get access to everything. The latest update includes a Justice League Dark episode in which players can team up with John Constantine and Zatanna.
