Phoenix Lab’s online monster slaying game, Dauntless, was previously only confirmed for release on PC until last night when a new trailer was released at The Game Awards. The new trailer showcased some new for the game, as well as the announcement of the game coming to consoles and mobile next year.
The trailer also boast that Dauntless will feature cross-platform play as part of Phoenix Labs’ “One Dauntless” initiative, a goal set to get the game into the hands of as many players as possible, and allowing players to pick their platform of choice with whoever they choose.
For those enjoying the game in beta at the moment will be happy to have a new seasonal event called Frostfall. The winter event will allow players to explore a new frozen-over version of Ramsgate and take on a new Behemoth – Valomyr. Along with the update comes a new Hunt Pass, a season of items including cosmetics and emotes for $10, which can be compared to Fortnite’s Battle Pass.
Dauntless is set for release on PS4, PC and Xbox One in April 2019, with a Switch and mobile versions to come later. The Frostfall event is now open for those in beta.
