Gameitall While Brainiac will be the big bad of the Injustice 2 storyline, he doesn’t hold a torch to the biggest and baddest that the DC Universe has to offer, the Lord of Apokolips, Darkseid!
Darkseid was confirmed early in Injustice 2’s media blitz as a Pre-Order Bonus character, similar to Mortal Kombat X’s Goro. While we’ve been constantly reminded of his presence in the game, we’ve never actually got to see him kick some ass in any of the footage. That has changed with the latest gameplay footage release late yesterday, showing Darkseid taking on Brainiac, Batman, Wonderwoman and several others with ease.
In terms of gameplay, Darkseid seems to have a few different varriations of his special attacks, including his Omega beams which can change direction and be difficult to block, along with summoning Parademon to place trap attacks.
Darkseid made a guess appearance in Injustice: Gods Among Us, showing up in an stage transition on the Hall of Justice level, which had him beating down the hero/villain before sending him through the boom tube.
