Praise the Sun! We finally have a release date for the Nintendo Switch version of Dark Souls Remastered! Bandai Namco has confirmed the game that’ll probably make you snap your Switch in two will be hitting Nintendo’s hybrid console on October 19th, 2018.
The Switch version of the game was originally scheduled to launch alongside the PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions, however Bandai Namco delayed the game to a summer release window. No reason for the delay has been given, however their is plans for the game to have a network test before the game launches.
The delay also paused the release of the Solaire of Astora amiibo. As previously planned, it will be releasing on October 19th with the Switch Version of Dark Souls Remastered. So far, we know that the amiibo will unlock the famous “Praise the Sun” gesture in Dark Souls: Remastered, but it is highly unlikely we’ll be seeing it used in other titles.
Unless we get confirmation that Solaire is in Smash Bros Ultimate, but that would just be weird.
