Bandai Namco recently announced that an updated version of the Game of the Year Nominated Dark Souls 2 will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One. While it is concidered to be more like a Director’s Cut, the new version dubbed “Scholar of the first Sin” will have several new features including improved balance, new NPCs, an expanded story, and new item descriptions. People who already have Dark Souls 2 will receive these new features in an massive update dubbed update ver 1.10.
The Xbox One, PS4 and Direct X 11 PC versions will feature “Enhanced Graphics” which includes higher resolution textures and improved lighting effects, among other things, these versions will also increase the numbers of Online players available.
Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the first Sin will also feature the three DLC Episodes, Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King, and Crown of the Ivory King. The re-release will hit April 7th 2015 (shortly after From Software’s next title Bloodborne) and will be available on PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
