CyberConnect2 has been very busy this year working on several projects, including “Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations” (yes that is the full name of the game,) “Asura’s Wrath” and some parts of Soulcalibur V, as well as a movie for the popular anime series .hack. In addition to all those projects, CyberConnect2 announced today in an interview with Famitsu, that they are also working new game for the fake-mmo series, with more details coming when the movie launches in Japan January 21st 2012.
CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama mentioned that we should expect a more photo-realistic look than previous anime-style .hack games. A character resembling .hack//GU protagonist Haseo reportedly appears in the included screenshots. There’s no information on platforms or release date yet, but at least now you know you’ll be able to immerse yourself in the world of The World once again.
