Critical Role’s animated series, The Legend of Vox Machina, is set to premiere a week earlier than expected. Originally set for a February 4th release date, the animated series will now be coming to Amazon Prime Video on January 28th, 2022.
The Legend of Vox Machina will be based on the campaign one of Critical Role’s Dungeons & Dragons web series with the series cast of voice actors including Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Liam O’Brien, Matthew Mercer, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel, and Travis Willingham – all reprising their roles.
The series started as a Kickstarter project in 2019 which quickly raised $11 Million in funding. The series is also being animated by Titmouse,Inc. whose current work includes the new seasons of Animaniacs, Star Trek: Lower Decks and the upcoming Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, and the Beavis and Butt-head remake.
A second season is confirmed and will be released at a later time, but for fans looking for more Critical Role goodness outside of the web series, Wizards of the Coast will be releasing an officially licensed Dungeons & Dragons book called Critical Role: Call of the Netherdeep which will be available online and in stores on March 15, 2022.
