The spirtural successor to the Clock Tower series will be coming to PC later this spring. NightCry, is being developed by Nude Maker, a team consisting of Clock Tower creator Hifumi Kono, Former Silent Hill art director and creator of Pyramid Head (Red Pyramid) Masahiro Ito, as well as Metal Gear Solid 4 composer Nobuko Toda, and the creator of the Ju-On movie series Takashi Shimizu.
NightCry started out as a Kickstarter campaign under the tentative name of Project Scissors, which was successfully funded. Similar to the classic Clock Tower Games, players will have to use their wits and run and hide from an immortal killer called the ScissorWalker, who is killing people on a cruise ship. The game incorporates a point and click style system to interact with the environment, defend themselves and attempt to not get sliced up.
The last Clock Tower game to be released was by Capcom in 2002, which met with mixed reviews by both reviewers and fans of the Clock Tower series. With the PC version on it’s way, the team at Nude Maker promise that their Console Stretch Goals will be releasing soon after.
