Before Blizzard’s big three games (Starcraft, Warcraft, and Diablo) made them a house hold name, they were still one of the more innovative game companies developing for the Super Nintendo under the name Silicon & Synapse. Now, three of Blizzard’s older titles are available for free.
The three games include: The Lost Vikings, a sidescrolling platformer featuring three vikings: Erik, Olaf and Baleog. Player must control all three vikings, though only one at a time, to get to the end of the platforming puzzle to escape from being attactions in an Alien Zoo. Blackthorne, another 2D platformer, that tells the tale of an exiled king returning to his home planet, using a pump-action shotgun to fight off monsters. Rock ‘n Roll Racing mixes combat racing with Rock’n’roll themes , giving players access to weapons such as missiles and land mines as they race around a dystopian landscape. It has been noted that the music for Rock ‘n Roll Racing (arguably the best part of the game) has been significantly cut down to only three tracks.
To access the games, players just need to access their Battle.net accounts and go to the “Download Game Clients” page. Under the clients for the games you already own, the three games will be available to you for free.
