2K and Firaxis Games has announced that they’ll be bringing the latest in their classic “One-More-Turn” strategy game, Sid Meier’s Civilization 6, to the Nintendo Switch on November 16th.
According to the developers, The Switch release will include the base game and four additional scenarios – The Vikings scenario Pack, Poland civilization and scenario Pack, Australia civilization and scenario pack, and the Persia and Macedon civilization and scenario pack. The Switch version of the game will also support up to 4 players for cooperative and competitive play over a local wireless connection.
Civilization 6 was released on PC in 2016, and this will mark the first console release of a Civilization game since Civilization Revolution on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2008. Given the Switch’s capability to play anywhere, I can definitely see the appeal Nintendo’s hybrid console with the series as it’ll offer plenty of “one more turn” moments.
