Gameitall Indie pop group Chvrches released a new single yesterday made exclusively for the upcoming Mirror’s Edge Catalyst which is currently set to release on June 9th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
In a press statement the band stated that they that the song identifies with Mirrors Edge Catalyst’s “minimalist sci-fi dystopia” setting, and that influence comes through in the track. After our look with the game’s closed beta, I can definitely say the song does have a place with the First-Person-Free-Running game.
This isn’t the first time that Chvrches has been associated with gaming, as they appeared during last year Video Game Awards, performing “Leave A Trace” off their latest record, which is also featured in the indie Music/Tower Defence game “Loud on Planet X” along with another track, “Clearest Blue”.
