As most Mass Effect fans may know, today is November 7th or N7 Day, so what better way to celebrate the unofficial Holiday than with a new trailer for the upcoming Mass Effect Andromeda. Bioware has also given an update to the game’s synopsis which now places you as one of the first humans to leave and investigate unexplored space.
Take the role of the Pathfinder, leading humanity’s search for a new home in this unexplored and unforgiving region of space. You’ll chart your own course, navigating the Andromeda galaxy to unravel its mysteries, discover vivid alien worlds, and lead the charge to find the human race a new home among the stars. You’ll be able to upgrade and customize your gameplay experience with a deep and flexible progression system, and lead your squad into action-packed combat using advanced weaponry, special abilities, and more than a few new tricks.
Bioware has also announced some new gameplay to be shown at this year’s Game Awards, and mentioned in the latest Game Informer that Mass Effect 2’s Loyalty missions will make a comeback for Andromeda.
To sweeten the deal for this N7 Day, Microsoft has also announced that Mass Effect 2 and 3 are now available for Backwards Comparability on Xbox One. This makes the entire numbered series (and the story of Commander Shepard) available on Xbox One.
