Boogerman may not be a household name in the gaming world, but the interplay platformer will be turning 20 years old next year and the game’s original creators want to develop a new game in honour of it’s anniversary. Much like the original SNES, Sega Genesis and Sega Master Drive title, Boogerman 20th Anniversary will put you in the shoes of Snotty Ragsdale through nasty platforming levels like pus palace, the naval caverns and the mucus mountains.
The game’s creators Mike Stragey and Chris Tremmel, have stated that the game will be a brand new HD experience with new mechanics and levels including swiming and mine-carting. Composer Grant Kirkhope (Perfect Dark, Banjo Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64) will work on the music for the game.
Boogerman 20th Anniversary is looking for funding via Kickstarter and Steam’s Greenlight project. The developers are looking to raise $375,000 by November 20th to create the new pick and flick adventure, currently the game is stated for a November 2014 release on PC, Mac, PSVita, PS4 and Wii U.
