The 2011 version of Atlus’ cult classic romance/horror/puzzle game Catherine has made the jump to Steam yesterday under the name “Catherine Classic”. The release comes shortly after the game was spotted on the ESRB ratings board, and also marks the first internally developed Atlus game to hit the PC.
Catherine Classic is the same version as the 2011 PS3 and Xbox 360 release with a few PC exclusive upgrades which include 4K resolution, customizable controls, an Unlocked Frame Rate and the ability to choose between the English and Japanese audio – a feature that was not included in the original console release. The game also features all the original modes of the game including the story campaign and both multiplayer modes, however online multiplayer is not included in the Catherine Classic edition.
Catherine Classic is available now on Steam for $19.99. Atlus has confirmed a new version of the game coming later this year to PS4 and Vita which will feature new storylines, online multiplayer and the ability to play as Persona 5’s Joker.
