Following the footsteps of Capcom vs SNK 2, the Capcom Cross-over fighting game Capcom Fighting Evolution will be heading to the PSN’s PS2 Classics next week when the store updates. Of course this will mean that it will be losing it’s Online feature and only be playable on the PS3. There is no current pricing for the game, but given the pricing of other PS2 classics, we’re assuming it will be around the $10 mark.
Capcom Fighting Evolution featured 23 fighters from popular Capcom fighting properties including Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter Alpha, Street Fighter 3, Darkstalkers and Red Earth as well as a new character that was previously unseen in the Capcom fighting world called Ingrid (later she became a fighter for Street Fighter Alpha 3 and a key story character in Street Fighter X Tekken.) The game wasn’t well received back when it came out in 2004 as characters felt like they were copy-and-pasted from their original series with cut-down on frame rates, and with several fan favorite characters missing.
