Resident Evil Village looks amazing, but if we’re being honest, the real show-stealer of the game’s announcement has been Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters. The vampire ladies, Dimitrescu especially, have been the main focus of attention from fans both domestically and overseas – which even Capcom was not anticipating.
Resident Evil Village art director Tomonori Takano released a thank you note to fans and added a bit of flame to the fire by giving us the exact height of tall vampire mommy Lady Dimitrescu.
“I wanted to use this opportunity to publicly reflect on the outpour of positivity we’ve received from the fans on our latest announcement. As a representative of the development team, thank you to all the fans who continue to follow us.” Takano posted. “Most recently, Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters have received a fair amount of attention, far more than we anticipated. It’s great that they’re able to take the spotlight as icons of Resident Evil Village. Lady Dimitrescu, especially, has received much fanfare both domestically and overseas, which has made all of us in the development team extremely happy. I hear her height is something of interest. If you include her hat and high heels, she’s 2.9m (approximately 9’6”) tall.”
At 9’6, this puts Lady Dimitrescu as one of the taller characters in gaming – to put in consideration, Master Chief from Halo is 7’2, and to fit in real-world details, your average fridge is 5’8.
