During a Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Panel at New York Comic Con, Capcom announced that they plan to release Darkstalkers Resurrection, a HD Remake bundle of Night Warriors (Darkstalkers 2) and Darkstalkers 3 for PSN and XBLA. The bundle is being handled by Iron Galaxy Studios.
The game features the same Online matchmaking setup as previous Capcom re-released fighters, and includes Replay sharing and YouTube functionality, as well as HD filters and a gallery of unlockable art assets and bonuses, including the work of Udon and custom artwork by Stanley Lao.
Capcom’s fighting game guru Yoshinori Ono has bigger hopes for the franchise as a whole. Stating he would really like to see a Darkstalker 4, while polling the audience at the NYCC to hold up cash if they are interested in a brand new Darkstalkers game.
