2K Australia have announced a new story driven DLC Add-On for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel at the Gearbox PaxEast Panel yesterday, titled “Claptastic Voyage.” The DLC will serve as a bridge between Borderlands 2 and The Pre-sequel, in which Handsome Jack finds a mysterious item in Claptrap’s Source Code, so he digitizes the Vault Hunters and sends them to the depth of Claptraps mind, where players will be “exploring the deepest recesses and furthest corners of Claptrap’s mind … his hopes, dreams and stupidity.”
Interesting enough, the DLC will drop along side the release of the PS4 and Xbox One Handsome Edition on March 24th. The DLC will be available on PS4 and Xbox One for free to those who pick up the Handsome Edition which includes the Season Pass of The Pre-Sequel, however it will not be included on the disk and will need to be downloaded from the store.
The DLC will also come with the Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2, which raises the level cap by 10 more levels to 70, and will give each character 10 more skill points to earn. You can pick this pack up as part of the $29.99 Season Pass or together with the Claptastic Voyage for $9.99.
