Well that didn’t take long to go from rumor to full project. Borderlands 2, which Gearbox described as a “no-brainer” sequel following the success of the first title, has been officially announced. The game will head to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC during 2K’s next fiscal year, which marks the game for an “Anytime after March 31 2012” date.
The sequel will bring new Vault hunters to unexplored regions of Pandora, new guns, skills, perks, and baddies to kill. From promotional pictures, so far it looks like Brick will be returning as an old man.
Borderlands 2 will be shown for the first time two weeks from now at Gamescom, and then come stateside for a PAX Prime presentation August 26-28.
