The first bit of DLC for Borderlands 2 which is included in the season pass, “Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty,” will be available on October 16th. According to Associated Press, the new expansion includes a new area which features the bandit-occupied slums of Oasis. Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford described the area as a dried-up landscape “more like Tatooine than an ocean.”
The DLC will cost $9.99 or can be picked up with the $29.99 Season Pass.
Frequent Borderlands players will also note that the previously teased character Gaige the Mechromancer, has been available since Tuesday. The new class gives you access to the DeathTrap, a robot with huge claws that will seek and destroy your enemies dealing quite a bit of damage. Gaige is available for those who pre-ordered the game and unlocked the Premier Club, or she can be purchased for $9.99.
