On July 1 2016, Blink-182 released their seventh studio album titled California, this is the bands first album in almost five years, since their release of Neighborhoods in 2011. Within the last 5 years the band has released an EP called Dogs Eating Dogs in 2012, in 2015 Tom DeLonge exited the band for the second time, afterwards Matt Skiba (Alkaline Trio) filling in for DeLonge, to play two club shows and the Musink festival in March 2015, which then turned into a permanent position, and in early 2016 the band recorded their new album California.
On April 27 2016, the band released their first single Bored To Death, the song has that great classic blink-182 sound and its just a fun song to listen too, the band also released an official video on 20 Jun 2016:
The second single, the band released was She’s Out of Her Mind on August 1, 2016, which is just a great punk song:
Built This Pool is one of those great joke songs from the band and its only 16 seconds, but the band did release a 10 hour version of the song on a loop
California is hands down my favourite song from the album, its just a simple song that is all about being home, its just great,
Other than that, the other songs from the album are also very solid and good Blink-182 songs, the album over all is a good throwback to their old albums that I really enjoyed listening to such as Dude Ranch, Enema of the State and Take Off Your Pants and Jacket.
