When we heard that the upcoming Blazblue Cross Tag Battle would only feature a roster of 20 characters with the base game and 20 more as DLC, we were reasonably skeptical on how the game will be priced. To put our minds at ease, Arc System Works released the plans for the games US pricing and clarified on another frequently asked question, will the game have English dubbing.
The short answer on the dubbing is yes. BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle will have full English track with dual audio option available. It has already been confirmed that the RWBY characters will be voiced by their actresses (Lindsay Jones, Kara Eberle, Arryn Zech and Barbra Dunkelman as Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang respectively) however this will also mark the first of several characters to receive English voice work, which includes the Under Night In-Birth fighters and some BlazBlue newcomers like Es.
As of Pricing, Arc System Works gave the following details:
Retail price for physical and digital: $49.99
Individual DLC packs (there are six): $4.99
Complete DLC bundle: $19.99
Deluxe Digital Edition (the game with all the DLC): $69.99
The first DLC pack, which includes Platinum, Orie, and Kanji, is free for everyone at launch (for two weeks after launch date).
Per earlier confirmation, Blake Belladona and Yang Xiao Long will be free to download.
To put it bluntly – if you purchase the game at full price, you’ll receive the DLC Bundle with your purchase.
BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle will be out in Japan on May 31st, and on June 5th in the US for PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC. It already has made enough of a splash to be included in this year’s EVO tournament.
