In a blog post highlighting Bioware’s Plans for Pax East, the developer put in a note that the planned Mass Effect Andromeda Multiplayer Tech Test has been cancelled for home users. Meanwhile those at the show will still be able to try the highly anticipated RPG’s Multiplayer mode before the game’s launch later this month.
Bioware has been fairly silent about the Multiplayer mode of Mass Effect Andromeda with only small clips being shown in recent trailers. At this time, we are unsure how Andromeda’s multiplayer mode will affect the main game’s campaign. Bioware did confirm that they will not be using Dedicated Servers for the game in favour for Peer-to-Peer connections, the same type of connection used in Mass Effect 3.
Bioware still plans on releasing some information about the Multiplayer soon as indicated by Bioware Producer, Fernando Melo, who released the first glimpse of the character selection on Twitter.
Meanwhile, we’ll get some more MP info out – let’s get the ball rolling… see you all soon in Andromeda! 4/4 pic.twitter.com/FuhGpuat9f
