To say we’re excited for Beyond: Two Souls, the latest game from Heavy Rain and Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) creators Quantic Dream, is a bit of a understatement. New information about the game has surfaced including a new star, pre-order bonuses and finally a release date for the upcoming supernatural thriller.
First of which David Cage announced that another big name actor will be joining Ellen Page (Juno, Inception) who plays the main character Jodie. The actor is none other then Willem Dafoe (Spiderman, The Boondock Saints) who plays Nathan Dawkins, a scientist who is studying Jodie’s unique supernatural abilities for the government. While the rest of his role remains a secret, we’re guessing that Dafoe may be signing up as the game’s villain.
Of course this was over shadowed by the David’s other announcement that the game will be released on October 8th 2013 with pre-order bonus from Eb Games and Gamestop that will feature a 30-minute extra playable scene, similar to Heavy Rain’s “The Taxidermist” episode. It was also mentioned that pre-orders will automatically get a special steelcase with a soundtrack, extra video content, a dynamic theme, and avatars while supplies last.
