If you haven’t gotten enough epic space battles from the Warhammer 40K universe, then you’re in luck as Focus Home Interactive and Tindalos Interactive have announced the sequel to the Epic RTS title – Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2.
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 will largely expand on what was laided out in the first game and will be “bigger, richer, more impressive and more ambitious than the original game” according to a press release from Focus Home Interactive. It has also been confirmed that all 12 factions from the original tabletop game and its expansions will be playable at launch which includes: the Imperial Navy, Space Marines, Adeptus Mechanicus, Necrons, Chaos, Aeldari Corsairs, Aeldari Craftworld, Drukhari, the T’au Merchant and Protector Fleets, Orks, and the Tyranids.
The game will also focus on the latest dramatic story development in the Warhammer 40K universe, the Gathering Storm and the 13th Black Crusade, as a back drop for the game’s extensive and dynamic campaigns. With promises for improvements for customization options for ships and fleets, improved multiplayer modes and a more balanced online experience.
There is currently no release date for Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 as of yet, however it is planned for a PC release in 2018. We’ll likely hear more about the title during Focus’ yearly press event on February 7-8th.
