Several date changes were announced last week during the chaos of San Diego Comic-Con announcements. Hidden in between news of Superman v. Batman, Avengers 2/Guardians of the Galaxy, and a fancy Warcraft logo.
Because there are so many updates, we’ve decided it would be best to put the new release dates in one big post.
Moving away from the once feared October 7th release date, two titles originally set for that date have been relocated leaving Alien: Isolation, Driveclub and Project Spark to fend for themselves. Dragon Age: Inquisition has been pushed back to a November 18th 2014 release date for more time to polish the game. On the other hand, Monolith’s Middle-Earth: Shadows of Mordor has been pushed forward a week, now launching on September 30th.
Visceral Games and DICE have pushed back the release of Battlefield: Hardline, the cops and robbers version of the popular military based shooter to improve aspects of the single-player campaign, as well as to add more innovative multiplayer features and enhance the shooter’s online stability (a special thanks to those who participated in the beta for this feature.) The game has been pushed back to a 2015 release, with another beta test in talks.
Finally, while this was announced some time before SDCC, Bethesda’s The Evil Within was originally delayed to a October 21st release, has now been pushed ahead to a October 14th release on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. The Evil Within is the latest Survivial Horror from Resident Evil mastermind Shinji Mikami, and early accounts have claimed that the game is absolutely horrifying.
