We’ve been wondering more about Bandai Namco’s latest trailer which at the time suggested a new project that may have been in the Souls franchise thanks to its #PreparetoDine play, done in a similar fashion to the Dark Souls tag Prepare to Die. It seems though that Bandai Namco pulled a fast one on us with the release of Code Vein, a new action RPG about Vampires from the team that created God Eater.
In Code Vein, players are thrown in the not-so-distant future where the world has been almost completely destroyed. At the heart of the destruction is a society of Revenants called Vein, which acts as a final stronghold where a remaining few fight to survive against new monstrosities while being blessed with powers in exchange for a lust for blood and their memories.
No release date or gameplay footage has been released at this moment, however Bandai Namco has confirmed that the game is only 35% completed earlier this week, however they did provide 20 screenshots of the game in action which looks like a solid anime-inspired RPG.
