The second piece of paid DLC for Assassin’s Creed Origins, Curse of the Pharaohs, is coming in March and is essentially Assassin’s Creed with Zombies… er… Mummies.
Taking a cue from the Supernatural side of Egyptian lore, Curse of the Pharaohs will offer a stand-alone storyline that is seperate from the main game, allowing you to take on a variety of Egyptian Beasts and famous Pharaohs as you attempt to find out why the Dead are coming back to life. These includes battles against giant scorpions and a variety of undead opponents.
In addition to the new enemies, Curse of the Pharaohs will also add new areas to explore, outfits, gear, weapons, and raise the level cap to 55. The DLC is out on March 13th and is part of the season pass or as a separate purchase. To lead into the craziness we’re expecting for the new DLC, a new quest will be added to Origins called “Lights Among the Dunes”, which will be part of a free update later today.
There have been several major updates to Assassin’s Creed Origins including the release of the Discovery Tour, a free update that allows you to play the game without quests or combat, turning the game into a learning experience as you explore ancient Egypt and take guided tours. Ubisoft also added a New Game Plus mode for players who want to start again with their favourite gear.
