Ubisoft had officially announced Assassins Creed 3 today with some new information. First of which is that aside from being released on the usual consoles (PC, Xbox 360 and PS3,) Ubisoft is also looking at a Wii U launch as well. Also, our new assassin’s name is Ratohakéton and is “of Native American and English heritage.” Thankfully he has also adopted the name Connor, possibly because it’s easier to pronounce.
As previously reported, the game will take place during the American Revolution and will “spans the Revolutionary War, taking gamers from the vibrant, untamed frontier to bustling colonial towns and the intense, chaotic battlefields where George Washington’s Continental Army clashed with the imposing British Army.” More information was promised for the April issue of Game Informer.
Finally, Assassin’s Creed 3 is built on a new engine called Ubisoft-AnvilNext, which Ubisoft promises a “breakthroughs in visual quality, character models and artificial intelligence.”
