The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth was released a little over a month ago and it serves as the second expansion to Edmund McMillen’s twisted dungeon crawler, which added weapon combos, new bosses, new room layouts, 120 new items, daily runs, and much more.
The Afterbirth expansions is about to get bigger with another expansion called Afterbirth+. Afterbirth+ will feature the basics including new bosses, new items, and new transformations, but will also include mod support as well as a bestiary, which will tell players how many monsters they slayed and how many times they’ve been killed by said monster. The team also mentioned that they will also include a “player/user-friendlier Room Editor, Animation Editor and Lua support.”
The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth is available now via Steam with a PS4 version coming soon. We’ll keep you posted on any update we hear about the title, in the meantime you should also follow their blog to get a glimpse at some of the cool/creepy/disturbing power-ups and updates for Afterbirth.
