So, like many others, my time is limited due to work and life in general. This cuts out a lot of time in what I have for gaming and watching shows which is unfortunate when a game like Smash Bros on Wii U and 3DS got so much to unlock. Sure, the stages and characters are fairly quick to unlock but the trophies, outfits and custom moves do take some grinding. Out of boredom, I decided to try using the Amiibos in an 8 Player Smash, 99 stocks.
Takes them about 2 hours to complete a match, level up from 1 to almost 50 (47 to 50) in one match and the best thing is that they play on their own with no need to watch other than the occasional glance at the controller to see if it is showing the Result screen or not.
The sweet part about this is that whenever an amiibo sees play, it gains money, items and trophies. Those can be redeemed when you go to the Amiibo setup function in Smash Bros.
Here’s a break down of the reward of doing 2 99 stock matches with the same set of Amiibos. Please keep in mind that these results all also affected by the fact that I’ve done about 10 of those matches befores and redeemed the prizes, so the odds of new items get lower and lower. Also, as far as I’m aware, the equipments always show as “new”, I have yet to see one that didn’t.

Now, this may not seem like a lot, but take in consideration that I hit play before going to bed and once again before leaving for work. Those new items were just freebies and the gold does allow me to purchase trophies in the store that I have not yet unlocked and to play the Trophy Rush game which will just give me a chance to unlock more of everything. This practice may be frowned upon but if you are on a limited time schedule and want to enjoy the game as much as possible in terms of customization, this is an easy way to go about doing it.
