Overkill to show off The Walking Dead co-op Shooter at E3

It won’t be long until we get to see something from Payday developers and distribution team, Overkill Software and 505 Games, on their latest game based on Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead comic series. The team has stated that the new co-operative shooter based on the popular zombie-infested apocalypse will be making an appearance at E3.

“The upcoming weeks will be fully focused on our setup and planning for the E3 Expo in Los Angeles and to make sure it’s the historical event we envision,” parent company Starbreeze wrote on its website. “With a significant presence, our ambition is to showcase both Payday 2 and Overkill’s The Walking Dead.”

While not much about the game has been stated, we do know that it aims to deliver a “completely new co-op experience” to the Walking Dead universe that will explore new characters and storylines, with a blend action, role-playing, survival, and stealth mechanics. The game is also the result of a ‘long-term’ partnership with Kirkman’s Skybound and Starbreeze.
