Injustice 2’s second Character pack brings Hellboy to DCU

Netherrealm announced the next slate of characters coming to their DC Comic Brawler – Injustice 2 – and this time we get an unexpected cross-over. The character pack includes Aquaman villain Black Manta, Mortal Kombat’s Raiden, and Black Horse Comics Hellboy.

While Black Manta and Raiden were both heavily hinted at in May when Netherrealm announced 9 new characters for the fighter, and introduced the first character pack which included Sub-Zero, Red Hood and Starfire. Still Hellboy comes as a surprise despite talks of a new R-Rated Hellboy in the works.

Hellboy was created by Mike Mignola and published by Dark Horse in the early 90’s and had 2 live action movies starring Ron Perlman as the titular character, along with a few animated adventures, a video game that is probably best forgotten and a spin-off comic based on the organization the character works for, the BPRD.

Netherrealm has not given any release dates for the characters at the moment, however fans will get a preview of Black Manta this Sunday on Netherrealm’s Twitch Channel.
